Techouse accelerates growth and opens new office in the UK

The Norwegian technology company Techouse today announced that they are opening a new office located in Glasgow, Scotland to accommodate a number of exciting opportunities in the water treatment sector of the International oil & gas market.

Plans to develop operations in Glasgow are a result of a growing market for water treatment and energy recovery solutions. Techouse´s UK office will be managed by Scott Barrie. Mr. Barrie has more than 30 years’ experience with international water treatment projects for the oil and gas industry and will take the position as Director of Techouse UK Ltd.

Increased ability to service a growing market

Having worked for VWS Westgarth and later founded H2Oil & Gas Ltd, Scott brings a wealth of experience and industry expertise to his new role as Director. Scott´s primary objective, in this new role, is to strengthen Techouse´s presence in the International SRU market and provide technical support to its existing customer base.

–    I am pleased about the impending launch of our new office under Scott’s direction. This investment is of strategic importance as we have several clients whose needs will be met by our         local presence in the UK. Scott has more than 30 years of operational and technical experience in the SRU market and I look forward to taking our company to the next level together with Scott and his team, says Managing Director of Techouse, Svein Helge Pettersen.

The office in Glasgow will be the company´s first office outside Norway and will be a key enabler to achieve international growth. It is also an opportunity to recruit talented professionals as the region is rich in talented engineers, with long experience within water treatment for the oil & gas industry. Commenting on his new appointment Scott Barrie stated,

–    I’m thrilled to be joining this talented company and look forward to leading the UK office through an exciting time in the company´s growth and leveraging my past experience from water treatment projects.

Being a pioneer in water treatment and energy solutions, Techouse is well positioned to handle a growing market. Last year the company delivered a 1,200-tonne water treatment module for Equinor´s Johan Castberg FPSO and Techouse has recently finalized four HRSG modules for the Golar GIMI FLNG project. The Glasgow office will run both their own projects and support Norway projects. The new office is expected to open in April, and during the first 12 months the company expects to hire five to ten engineers with specialist capabilities in water systems for offshore applications.
